JENKINS TWP. — The 19th Annual Blue/Gold Hockey game between Wyoming Area and Pittston Area will be held at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2 at Revolution Ice Centre, 12 Old Boston Road.
The combined Pittston Area/Wyoming Area junior varsity team will take on Susquehanna at 7:30 p.m. that same evening.
Five seniors will take part in annual game. Seniors from Wyoming Area are Alex Hawk, CJ Rome and Robbie Trottini. Seniors from Pittston Area are Kyle Ralston and Jonathan Passarella.
The winning team will take home the Skate Trophy, won by Wyoming Area last year.
Each year, this charity game is used to assist a student or family associated with one of the schools. All proceeds this year will benefit Kennedy Debo, a 9 -ear-old Wyoming Area School District student born with Alagille Syndrome, a disorder associated with abnormalities of the liver, heart, skeleton, eyes and kidneys.
Kennedy is in need of a liver transplant and is currently going through testing at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
This game will have additional off-ice festivities such as a bake sale and basket raffle to help raise funds for Kennedy.
Admission at the door is $3 for adults and $2 for students.
